WIPO Global Awards 2025 Seeks Small Businesses and Startups Successfully Using IP
The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) today opened its 2025 Global Awards competition, inviting applications from small businesses and startups that use intellectual property (IP) to drive enterprise growth as well as positive societal impact.
Enterprises from all business sectors, based anywhere in the world, that meet application criteria may submit an application between January 15 and March 31, 2025. Winners will be announced in July 2025.
This year, the competition welcomes startups, alongside small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from around the world active in all sectors of the economy to apply– be that technology, agriculture, the creative industries or beyond. We welcome applications using all forms of IP, ranging from copyright, to trademarks, patents, and geographical indications.
Each winner will also receive a tailored mentorship program focused on strengthening the use of IP, pursue new business goals, and access financial resources to create even greater impact.
An independent jury will select a group of up to 10 winners. Each will receive an invitation to attend the Awards Ceremony during July’s WIPO General Assembly in Geneva.
We encourage you to share news of this exciting opportunity across your networks by distributing the enclosed information flyer. We look forward to receiving a diverse pool of applications from all parts of the world.
